When turning on your BS80, it will enter Bluetooth Mode by default. There are 3 modes of Bluetooth in BS80 settings, we can see as HID mode, SPP mode and BLE mode. So, what’s the difference among them?

1.HID (Human Interface Device)

If you switch your BS80 to this mode under Bluetooth, now it’s working like an input device, like your keyboard, and it will emulate keystroke each time it outputs a character as if you are punching the key. It’s most widely used when connecting to your PC or your mobile devices, POS, any device that supports Bluetooth HID.

2.SPP (Serial Port Profile)

This is a profile for data transmission, it will transmit data under SPP, not like HID, it only transmits data. This is for advanced Bluetooth players, who need to configure their own Bluetooth Settings.

3.BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy)

The BLE will dramatically reduce power consumption, meanwhile the Transmitting Distance will shorten as well. So, it’s commonly used for long-term, short-distance situation.
